Hi, I have ran into issues changing colours using the lottie editor. There are a number of issues that arise which is blocking me:
- Editing a gradient which has transparency - when I update the colour, it loses its transparency and I’m unable to fix this
- After editing colours and saving as a new animation, I get an ‘effects error’ - this causes some animations not to play on iOS
Can anyone point to some fixes or recommendations?

Hi there!
I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with the Lottie editor. Here are a few suggestions that might help:
- Transparency Issue with Gradients:
- Ensure you’re using the latest version of the Lottie editor, as updates often fix bugs.
- Check if the transparency issue persists in different browsers or devices.
- If the problem continues, you might want to report it on the Lottie GitHub page or forums for further assistance.
- Effects Error on iOS:
- Verify that the animations are correctly exported from After Effects, ensuring text layers are not exported as glyphs.
- Make sure you’re using the latest version of the Lottie iOS library.
- If the issue persists, consider reaching out to the LottieFiles support team or checking their documentation for any known issues and fixes.
