Saber plugin to JSON by bodymovin?

Hello I’m struggling with one problem I made an affect in after effects 2020 with saber plugin I want to use it as json so used bodymovin but my animation isn’t visible. Is there anyway to resolve this issue or any other way to use my saber effect in json format.

Please help me in this problem.

hello, @Arpit_Dubey

There is probably nothing better than using PNG sequence in your case.

I doubt that plugin will be supported in the future, I agree with vd.oldfriend. You could use a combination of shape layers with stroke, and transparent .png to mimic the saber effect.

Use shape layers with stroke and transparent PNGs to mimic the saber effect.

Hello,
To reiterate concisely, directly using a Saber effect as a JSON with Bodymovin isn’t possible because Saber relies on rendering processes that Bodymovin doesn’t support. The most practical solutions are to either pre-render your Saber animation as a video file for use in your project or to attempt to recreate a similar visual effect within After Effects using its built-in tools and features, which can then be exported as a JSON. Exploring newer Lottie libraries for advanced effect support is an option, though direct compatibility with a plugin like Saber is unlikely.

Hope this helps!
