Exporting Figma to Lottie results in a blank canvas

Hello, everyone!

I am pretty new to Figma and LottieFiles, so excuse me if it is a trivial question. So, I was trying to export this simple animation of moving text via LottieFiles to Lottie from a Figma Prototype animation (link to the file is attached).

Though, when trying to export it by creating a new flow it results in a blank canvas without any text. I tried using a different, more universally-available font, tried exporting a single animation with the frame of the animation itself as a separate flow - none of this worked… (I am also pretty sure that I don’t use any of the features which are not currently supported - I have seen a thread similar to this issue)

I am kind of stuck, any help would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
Theodor

Update:

Tried loads of many things, including recreating the animation and figuring out on which step everything breaks - I could not get any consistent results on figuring the exact moment the animation stops to show up in the export plugin… Probably just going to do the thing I need in AE :frowning:

Hi,

I understand how frustrating this must be after all your efforts. Before switching tools, here are a few things to try:

  1. Test a simpler Figma animation with a single text layer to identify any specific issue.
  2. Check frame dimensions and naming—they should be standard and clear.
  3. If you decide to switch to After Effects, it integrates well with Lottie using the Bodymovin plugin, which helps export animations as JSON files.

Also, consider posting your issue here: Lottie Community General Chat. They might have specific tips for this issue. Let me know if you need further guidance!
