Don't understand all the new restrictions with paid accounts

Hi,
I need to understand something as I’ve just wasted an hour trying various things i used to be able to do here but can no longer do without paying 240+USD a year. (Which just to be clear is more expensive than an entire Adobe Creative Suite License, or a Figma license!)

Am I right about the following?

  1. total ‘UPLOADS’ alllowed in your free account LIFETIME is 10. Not current uploads or saved files (i’m pretty sure this is accurate, it says on the site)

  2. you can no longer ‘DOWNLOAD’ any free (non-pro) animations unless you also “UPLOAD” them to your drafts or whatever it’s called – essentially free DOWNLOADS are now hidden behind the lifetime limit of 10 UPLOADS? (and fyi this is also confusing)

  3. There is no longer any way to get animations others have posted for free, if you have in your LIFETIME tried to download (which you also call ‘upload’) 10x files. Is this correct?

If so this means, I want to be clear it often takes at least that many attempts with free animations in an app / page to find the right fit. So maybe, maybe i find and confirm a great animation within that limit, but maybe not. And then after this there is no option to continue using any free animations unless i pay minimum 20USD a month (which again, is more expensive than many apps / svcs that offer WAY more value to working creatives.

Please tell me if the above is an accurate sense of the restrictions with free accounts.

Thanks

Hi @nick5,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your detailed feedback. I truly understand your frustration, and I appreciate the time you’ve taken to explain your concerns. Let me clarify the current limitations for free accounts and address your points:

Free accounts are limited to a lifetime total of 10 uploads. Even if files are removed from your workspace, the count of uploads does not reset.

You’re correct that free animations must be uploaded to your workspace before they can be downloaded. I understand how this may feel unintuitive and confusing. We genuinely appreciate you bringing this up, as we want our platform to be as user-friendly as possible.

I can see how these restrictions might feel limiting, especially when you’re experimenting to find the right animation. I’ve passed your feedback to our product team so we can evaluate ways to improve the experience for all users.

Thank you for sharing your perspective, it helps us identify areas where we can do better. If you have any further questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out.
