Couldn't upload animation - It says "you've reached your limit of 10 files", but I haven't any file uplaoaded

Hi! I have the Basic account, I’ve been using it for nearly a year. In the past, when I reached like 9 files in my workplace, I deleted them and then I keep using it perfectly, uploading new projects whenever I needed it. But today, when I tried to upload a new project, I couldn’t because “I’ve reached my limit”… But I deleted all my old works! I don’t understand, something changed with the latest update?

(Sorry about my english, it isn’t my mother-tongue haha :'D)

Hi @Alba

As a free user, you have a limit of 10 uploads, which includes all the files you’ve uploaded—even those that have been deleted. The number you see in your workspace reflects the total number of uploads count, not just the files currently in your workspace. This is part of a recent update to our system.

It’s worth noting that this limit doesn’t apply to Lottie Creator files or public animation files, you can upload as many of those as you like!

If you find yourself needing more than 10 uploads, upgrading your plan might be a great option. Please let me know if you have any questions or need further assistance!

As a same me, I can’t upload, Is there any way to do it? if still be free user

Hi @Thunchanok

As a free user, you have a limit of 10 uploads. If you find yourself needing more space or additional features, I’d be happy to help with our subscription options. Just let me know if you’d like more details or assistance

Frankly, that’s very disappointing from you guys.
In every saas design tools, you have a limit of free files, that you can delete and make new ones without taking into account the deleted ones!
When you’re learning how to use Lottie, you of course explore more files and reaching that limit is very quick, that’s why it’s important to let us delete them without that constraint.
It’s unseen before and very unfriendly. If we add on top that you can not have a monthly subscription but have to pay for an annual plan, Lottie becomes a NO GO for me.
Sad.

LottieFiles support team be like: Too bad, but here the upgrade plan for 20$ which you can buy.
Greedy people don’t care about their users, they only care about money.

Hi @Franklin

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. I understand how this situation might be frustrating, and your feedback really matters.

Our goal is to give our users the best experience possible, and we never want anyone to feel like their needs aren’t being heard.

We want to make sure you’re getting the most value from your plan. If you’d like, we can go over your account together to see if there’s a better option that fits what you’re looking for.

If you have any other concerns or just want to chat more about this, feel free to reach out. We’re here to help!

The best experience would be able to learn the tool instead of force feeding your users with subscription.

Welp, time to move on from LottieFiles. $20 subscription is absurd if I need about 2-3 short animations per month on average. Any alternatives?

This pricing is on the edge of abuse, really pathetic use of a monopol.

This is a classic case of developer blindness. There is a target group out there that is simply not interested in all the great new features like a complete animation editor. For my part, I need Lottiefiles as a file converter for 1–2 files a month. Spending 20 USD for this is complete madness from a business point of view.

You can use my small tool to download the animations. Feel free to reach out if you encounter any issues https://lottie-downloader.mihaiblaga.dev/
