What is the best dimension to create Lottie file?

I am a newbie in Lottie animation and I was wondering that what dimension should I work in for a Lottie icon animation.

Hey,
Lottie is a vector based solution, so files are scalable and will look good in all cases.
Go on a size that makes you comfortable to work on an icon, 400x400 for exemple, or even more

So, you mean, I go for 400x400 composition and export in the same size as json.
Can I do the same work in 30x30 composition?

And also I have another problem: For e.g. Iā€™m working in 1000x1000 composition, If I have to reduce the composition to 30x30, how can I proportionally downsize the composition so the artwork remains within the composition area.

Once you have exported your .json, you can easily adjust the size in lottie editor : Lottie Editor

Or in ae, put your Comp1 in a Comp2 and change the scale to fit

What is the animation going onto? Because it would make sense to export a 1000x1000 animation, but the web developer will plug it into a 30x30 frame.
