# Is there technical constraints when using Lottie animations for million api calls

Hi!

I am wondering if there are any technical constraints & payment needed when using Lottie animations for millions of api calls?

Also, do I need to upload ‘My Private Animations’ to ‘My Public Animations’ in order to use them in my web and mobile app for users to see?

Whatever your API is referencing should be the JSON file that you will download from the “my private animations.” I wouldn’t think of that as a something that is hosting your animation.

If you publish to the public then anyone can download your animations and use them as per the agreement.

If you want people to see the animations then handoff the JSON files to your developers who will implement the code into the website and app.
